Set up livechat module - Tawk.to
A Livechat integration is available with Tawk.to. Through this integration you can use Tawk.to Livechat for free with your Futy account. This allows you to offer Livechat as a contact option to your website visitors in addition to WhatsApp, Email, Phone and Video call.
Follow the steps below to link Tawk.to to your widget:
👉 Step 1 - Create a tawk.to account
👉 Step 2 - Copy the Chat link from tawk.to
👉 Step 3 - Link tawk.to to your Futy widget
👉 Step 4 - Remove tawk.to script (optional)
💡 Tips
Step 1 - Create a tawk.to account
1. Go to https://www.tawk.to
2. Click "Sign Up Free" at the top left.
3. Fill in all your information and activate your account via the email you received.
(💡 You can also possibly download the Tawk.to app right away to receive the chats on your phone)
Follow-up steps sign up:
Fill in the requested information after signing up
1. Enter your preferred language
2. Enter your property details, for example:
Website name: Futy
Your own website URL: https://www.futy.io/
Widget name: Futy Livechat
3. Invite your team members
Invite your colleagues and set their access level
4: Do NOT install widget code!
You can skip this step if you are using Futy, the next step explains this further.
Step 2 - Copy the Chat link from tawk.to
1. In your Tawk.to account go to 'Administration' at the bottom left
2. Click on 'Chat widget'
3. Copy the 'Direct conversation link'
Step 3 - Link tawk.to to your Futy widget
1. Go to Futy and login to your account.
2. Click on the widget where you want to activate Livechat.
3. Click through in the flow to 'Livechat'.
4. Click on the edit icon next to tawk.to.
5. Paste the ' Direct conversation link' link you extracted from tawk.to here.
6. Click on 'Save' and ' Save changes'.
7. Finally, don't forget the 'Livechat button' activate and save all changes.
Step 4 - Remove tawk.to script from your website (only if you were already using tawk.to)
If you were already using the tawk.to solution on your website, it is important to remove it and only add it to your website via the Futy widget. So remove the tawk.to script on your website or if you are using the plugin, remove it.
