Google Analytics 4 - Naming your own custom events.

In addition to the standard Futy tracking events, which are automatically shot through via our Google Analytics 4 integration, it is also possible to name your own events. This is useful when, for example, you want to differentiate between Quote Request X and Quote Request Y.

Caution: this is only useful for experienced marketers, overwriting events may prevent events from coming through properly us Google Data Studio template.

Custom event naming events

  1. Make sure you have Google Analytics 4 linked to Futy.
  2. In your Futy account, go to the widget for which you want to set up a custom event.
  3. Go to the particular module for which you want to modify the conversion label and click on the edit icon next to the module.
  4. Go to "Other" and scroll down.
  5. Under 'Conversion label' , enter your own label. E.g. quote_house_sales.

This new name will be pushed through as a custom event to Google Analytics 4, overwriting Futy's advanced conversion event.
