WhatsApp forms

It is possible to receive completed forms from the Leadbot directly into WhatsApp.

Why the WhatsApp form?

A great advantage of the WhatsApp form is that a customer never has to enter his phone number when requesting contact. But you do receive his phone number! This is even more useful on landing pages that you use for advertising campaigns on social media, where 98% of the visitors are on mobile.

Leadbot's contact icon is always visible on your landing page. With the click of a button, visitors leave their details via WhatsApp.

This greatly increases the number of conversions from your social media campaigns! Through the WhatsApp form, you can extract all the desired information from the visitor.

How do you set this up?

  1. Go to the Futy dashboard and go to the form you want to receive via WhatsApp.
  2. Click on the edit icon next to the form
  3. Go to 'Other'
  4. Under 'Send via' open the dropdown and select 'WhatsApp'
  5. Add the WhatsApp number it should be sent to.
  6. Click "Save" and " Save changes

How do you display the WhatsApp form on a landing page?

In the Leadbot overview in your account, you can add the WhatsApp form in 4 ways:

  1. Add the WhatsApp form as a new template
  2. You can add another Leadbot template and edit the form in it*
  3. You can duplicate a Leadbot and then make adjustments in it*
  4. You can edit the form in a Leadbot already in your overview*

*For the last 3 options, you can set an existing form to 'send via WhatsApp' as shown in the GIF above.

Then you can use conditions to set which page you want to show it on, and you can also optionally set to show it only on mobile

It is also possible to call a Leadbot from a parameter in the link / url. For example, you can call a WhatsApp form directly from the link in your social media ad campaign: https://www.futy.io/?widget=whatsapp_formulier

Do not attach via WhatsApp

It is not technically possible (in WhatsApp) to request a file/attachment from the WhatsApp form on the website and send it directly via WhatsApp. However, the other 13 fields from the contact form are available for the WhatsApp form.

We do have a workaround for sending attachments in WhatsApp: set an automatic greeting in the WhatsApp Business app asking if they want to send the file in the WhatsApp. Read how here.
